ooden Cross Hardware has not been around long (February, 2008)...but the desire and passion behind WCH has been around since that first Tama Swingstar set I received in 1987.  WCH's goal and primary passion is for every drummer to have that drum or kit that is unique to them and their style.  From a single snare, whether it is 8, 10, 15, or 30 ply Maple or possibly Titanium or Acrylic, you help decide based on the style and sound you want.  Anything you want done to the shell from custom bearing edges, super-sized vents, split shell venting, or more is at NO charge to you!  What you pay for is the parts to put it together and the growing experience that is getting some drummers some drums that they are incredibly happy to play.  Marcus Thomas, Florida, has his second WCH snare (8x13, 10-ply maple, 3/4” split, black nickel hardware, custom black sparkle wrap, and Evans Onyx batter head) he helped design hanging on the wall as an artistic expression of his unique style.  Here are what a couple other drummers have said about their unique WCH drums and experience:

"Every step of the process, the hardware and design choices were easy and painless. This guy (Paul Hunt) knows how to give a customer exactly what they are looking for in custom made drums. You have virtual total control of all aspects of your customizing choices. I needed a piccolo snare to match a Sea Green Lacquer DW Kit I play out with every other weekend. WCH fit the bill perfectly. Affordable! I mean very affordable!

Paul’s personal touch and customer contact was awesome! I didn’t feel like just another one of the masses buying drums from one of the big companies. I plan on going to WCH for all my drum building needs."
-Tim Newman

Drummer (Independent) and with August Burn & The Famous Nobodies, Chicago,IL.

“As awesome as the pictures are, they don't even come close to the real thing...
I am absolutely in LOVE with that drum!!!!!
Me, my mom, my girlfriend, my step dad, my dad, my brother(s), and every other random person that came through the house today were absolutely amazing by your creation...everyone that's seen it so far has just been in awe. and it hasn't even left my house yet.”

-Riley Rogers Drummer – Borderline Asylum

Another way to sum up what WCH is, is the Mission statement also posted on the "About Us" page:

The mission of Wooden Cross Hardware is to give it's customers the very best product (quality and design), 100% involvement in the process, and years of satisfaction with the product chosen. This will be achieved by one-on-one design discussions with the customer(s) to initiate, review, and approve any design. The customer will have the choice to use standard pieces and options that have been called out in a standard price list or catalog. This will all be done, as all business is with WCH, with honesty and integrity.

Psalm 150:5
Praise Him with loud cymbals;
Praise Him with crashing cybmals.

Thanks for your time and I look forward to creating that one-of-a-kind unique piece (or pieces) of hardware that will be a joy to play, listen to, or just to look at for years to come whether it is from scratch or a re-newing of an older favorite, WCH will be happy to talk to you and see what can be done.

Sincerely,

Paul Hunt
