Daniel Posthuma

Daniel Posthuma has been a musician for over ten years. Throughout his life he has been surrounded by music. Even when he was only two years old his parents got him an introductory level drum set that entertained him for years. When he was five years old, he started taking piano lessons, which gave him the musical feel to be able to play many different instruments. He played piano for a total of eight years. After that, he became very interested in playing drums again. So he worked out a deal with his parents and purchased a drum set and began taking lessons right away. With the musical background he already possessed, his drum playing took off. He began playing for his church’s youth group and in a band. Through involvement with different bands and playing drums in the church youth group, Alan Cullen, the music director at his church, approached Daniel and asked if he would be interested in trying out to play drums in front of the whole church congregation on Sunday mornings. Of course, he said yes. After the tryout, he was immediately put on the team and has played several times in front of our congregation of about 3,000 attendees. “God has blessed me with many more drumming opportunities and I look forward to the ones in the future.”

Check Daniel out and get to know him on Myspace or Facebook.
